San Diego Plastic Surgeon: 3D Visualization can Lead to Natural-looking Results

Added By admin on September 8th, 2010

09.08.10. San Diego, Calif. – At his San Diego plastic surgery practice, Feel Beautiful, Dr. Steve Laverson discussed the statistics from the 2009 study of cosmetic surgery recently released by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In light of the nearly 10 million cosmetic procedures performed in 2009, Dr. Laverson emphasized the need for artistic ability and 3D visualization to help his patients envision their surgical treatment plan in pursuit of natural-looking aesthetic enhancement goals.

As a board-certified plastic surgeon in San Diego, CA, Dr. Steve Laverson specializes in a number of plastic surgery procedures such as breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and liposuction, which were several of the top five cosmetic procedures performed in 2009 according to the study recently released by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. With every procedure, Dr. Laverson says he focuses on providing natural results, with specific consideration for his patient’s expectations and aesthetic enhancement goals. To help his patients envision their results, and ensure those goals are realistic, Dr. Laverson uses 3D visualization. When combined with his artistic ability and scientific skill, he says he is able to create a treatment plan that will bring out each patient’s natural beauty.

When performing aesthetic enhancement procedures like breast augmentation in San Diego, which accounted for the greatest percentage of cosmetic procedures performed in 2009, Dr. Laverson says he believes artistic ability is one of the key contributing factors in achieving undetectable results. He also stressed that patients need to consider the plastic surgeon’s innate capacity to visualize the end-result, and create an aesthetic outcome that does not succumb to the general public’s expectations for plastic surgery procedures. One way Dr. Laverson says he helps his patients visualize the end-result and develop their cosmetic surgery expectations is through the use of 3D visualization technology at Feel Beautiful.

Another option Dr. Laverson discusses with concern for natural-looking results is the tummy tuck in San Diego. He again stressed the need for careful consideration when choosing a plastic surgeon, saying that making a significant decision like that of pursuing cosmetic enhancement requires a plastic surgeon that is not only able to visualize the results, but also grasp the magnitude of such a decision. In addition, Dr. Laverson also says he aims to help his patients visualize the procedure, recovery, and results to better address their individual needs and concerns with the 3D visualization technology.

When helping his patients achieve the natural aesthetic enhancement results they desire through cosmetic procedures such as a facelift in San Diego, Dr. Laverson says the innate ability of a plastic surgeon to help each patient grasp the end-result is an essential step in the process. In addition to a plastic surgeon’s artistic ability and scientific skill, Dr. Laverson says he believes developing a patient’s treatment plan together will further improve his ability to create natural results. When considering the fact that nearly 10 million cosmetic procedures were performed in 2009, Dr. Laverson adds that supporting patient expectations with 3D visualization is also an important part of the aesthetic enhancement process.
