Cosmetic Surgery on Her Buttocks Aides in Death of Beauty Queen

December 01, 2009, Buenos Aires, Argentina – 38 year-old beauty queen and former Miss Argentina, Solange Magnano, has died from complications after undergoing cosmetic surgery on her buttocks.


A mother of twins, Solange Magnano won the Miss Argentina crown in 1994, died on Sunday of a pulmonary embolism after being left in critical condition for three days following a buttock augmentation in Buenos Aires, Argentina.


Roberto Piazza, a close friend of Magnano said that the procedure involved injections and that the liquid “went to her lungs and brain.”


“A woman who had everything lost her life to have a slightly firmer behind.” Said Piazza.


Dr. Gonzalo Cortes y Tristan said she arrived at his hospital with an acute respiratory deficiency. Her condition continued to deteriorate upon her arrival until she suffered the embolism. Magnano’s burial Monday was shown on Argentine television.
