Laser Skin Resurfacing is a technique which is used during laser surgery where molecular bonds of a material are dissolved by a laser. This type of cosmetic treatment is often used in a medical context, especially in dermatology, for the treatment of acne vulgaris, scars, and spider telangiectasias, also known as “spider veins” — a symptom of ataxia telangiectasia.

Once healing of the skin is completed, a high sunblock lotion should be applied. In some cases, a pink surface color may remain for several days to several months, yet this is very dependent on the patient’s skin type. Make-up can typcially be worn after about 7-14 days post laser treatment.
